The founding fathers of Modern, American Furniture design all had their exuberant oeuvres: the beautifully disquieting La Chaise, by Charles and Ray Eames; George Nelson & Company's Marshmallow Sofa; even Edward Wormley touched on the biomorphic with his Listen to Me Chaise. No contemporary, however, could hold a candle to the complexity -found most often in the sheer simplicity of; not to mention the craftsmanship in, but moreso, the presence, which exudes so plainly, as only a labor of love could allow from, the flowing freeforms of  Vladimir Kagan's designs.

These stunning avant garde barrel chairs by Vladimir Kagan for Preview are no exception. From their striking, sinuous seat bases to their overstuffed, oversized frames, stylish comfort is of top priority; they are minimalist, indeed, but as Vladi' always said, "...form follows function."

Due to their refreshingly modern stylings, Kagan's works never quite found their way to mass production by any major furniture manufacturers, but cream always rises to the top, so the old saying goes and Vladimir's pieces seemed to, at once, find their place amongst the appreciative homes of the Glitterati. Those of: Marilyn Monroe, Gary Cooper, Andy Warhol, David Lynch, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, to name a few, he was even called upon by Gucci and Giorgio Armani, among countless others, to design interior spaces!
Now you can add your home, or office to that discriminating list with this fine pair of avant garde club chairs, dated 3/12/91, by Vladimir Kagan for Preview
