EL DOM DINING TABLE in SANTOS ROSEWOODdesigned by HANNES WETTSEIN in 2006 for CASSINA
"A wood dining-table of sober elegance in three different sizes and finishes. Careful study of the assembly of legs and top has led to the reduction of the visible thickness of the structural parts, while guaranteeing a sturdiness hidden in the apparent fragility." "Assembly and stability are ensured by an internal anchorage mechanism set in the two sides and the top. The feet are in matt grey satined aluminium." "Hannes Wettstein (1958-2008) was one of the most interesting designers of his generation, creating projects ranging from products to communication and industrial design to architecture. He was known as one of the most innovative and influential designers from the Swiss school. This was demonstrated by the many awards and competitions he won, such as the selection for the Compasso d'Oro in 2004 for his Dada Nomis kitchen. In 1991, with the creation of his interdisciplinary studio, Zed, Wettstein fully developed as a designer and architect, by establishing his corporate image and designing architectural projects."

Seats 10 adults comfortably. Can accommodate 12 by having two persons sit at each end.
The table top is in one piece - there are no leaves to add or subtract.
The chairs are not included in the listing. They are shown only to illustrate the scale of the table.
- The top has been refinished.
- There is no little red Cassina label (the restorer lost it)
- Upon close inspection, some very minor nicks and scratches may be found, but overall, the table...
